【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtoqualitativelysimulatethebehaviorofswirlingwatercontainingsuspendedandtransportedsolidobjectsthatproduceabrasionofconcreteandcausepotholesandrelatedeffects.Thistestmethodshouldprovidearelativeevaluationoftheresistanceofconcretetosuchaction.Theresultsareexpectedtobeusefulinselectionofmaterials,mixtures,andconstructionpracticesforusewheresuchactionistobeexpected.Thetestmethodisnotintendedtoprovideaquantitativemeasurementofthelengthofservicethatmaybeexpectedfromaspecificconcrete.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingtherelativeresistanceofconcrete(includingconcreteoverlaysandimpregnatedconcrete)toabrasionunderwater(seeNote1).Thisproceduresimulatestheabrasiveactionofwaterborneparticles(silt,sand,gravel,andothersolids).Note18212;Otherproceduresareavailableformeasuringabrasionresistanceofconcretesurfacesnotunderwater.TheseincludeTestMethodsC418,C779/C779M,andC944.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(WarningFreshhydrauliccementitiousmixturesarecausticandmaycausechemicalburnstoskinandtissueuponprolongedexposure.)
