【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscanbeusedtoensurethatthechemicalcompositionoftheglasssandmeetsthecompositionalspecificationrequiredforthisrawmaterial.Thesetestmethodsdonotprecludetheuseofothermethodsthatyieldresultswithinpermissiblevariations.Inanycase,theanalystshouldverifytheprocedureandtechniqueusedbymeansofaNationalInstituteofStandardsandTechnology(NIST)standardreferencematerialorothersimilarmaterialofknowncompositionhavingacomponentcomparablewiththatofthematerialundertest.AlistofstandardreferencematerialsisgivenintheNISTSpecialPublication260,currentedition.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthechemicalanalysisofglasssands.Theyareusefulforeitherhigh-silicasands(99%+silica(SiO2))orforhigh-aluminasandscontainingasmuchas12to13%alumina(Al2O3).Generallynonclassical,thetestmethodsarerapidandaccurate.TheyincludethedeterminationofsilicaandoftotalR2O3(see11.2.4),andtheseparatedeterminationoftotalironasironoxide(Fe2O3),titania(TiO2),chromiumoxide(Cr2O3),zirconia(ZrO2),andignitionloss.Includedareproceduresforthealkalineearthsandalkalies.High-aluminasandsmaycontainasmuchas5to6%totalalkaliesandalkalineearths.Itisrecommendedthatthealkaliesbedeterminedbyflamephotometryandthealkalineearthsbyabsorptionspectrophotometry.1.2Thesetestmethods,iffollowedindetail,willprovideinterlaboratoryagreementofresults.
