【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesalaboratorytestfordeterminingtherelativecarpetdirtremovaleffectivenessofresidentialcentralvacuumcleaningsystemswhentestedunderstandardconditionsandonrepresentativetypesofcarpets.Thislaboratorytestmethodmaynotgivearepresentationofcarpetembeddeddirtcleaningeffectivenessinthehome.Inordertoprovideauniformbasisformeasuringperformanceasdescribedin1.1,standardizedtestcarpetsandastandardizedtestdirtareemployedinthisprocedure.Theresultsreflectanon-loadedcleaningcapabilityandmaynotberepresentativeofcleaningcapabilitiesunderdirtloadingconditions.1.1Thistestmethodisapplicabletoresidentialcentralvacuumcleaningsystemsintendedforcleaningcarpets.1.2Thistestmethodappliesonlytoembeddeddirtremovalfromcarpets.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3Thepurposeofthistestistodeterminearatioofacarpet-embeddeddirtremovaleffectivenessandahome-carpetembeddedremovaleffectivenessratingwhichcanbeusedforcomparingoneormorevacuumcleanersagainstastandardvacuumcleaneranddeterminingcorrelationwithlaboratoryASTMtests.Theresultsarerepresentativeofthegeographicareacoveredbythetesthomes.
